On March 7, 2026, the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Stratford hosted community events in Stratford, Ontario, to mark International Women’s Day. The day featured a breakfast discussion on global economics followed by an evening comedy show to celebrate the achievements of women.

The morning event at the Arden Park Hotel was titled “Reaching For the Future: Stories of Women and the Global Economy.” Maryscott Greenwood, an executive at Manulife, served as the keynote speaker to discuss the economic contributions of women in business and politics.

Later that night, the organization hosted a “Queens of Comedy” show at the same hotel ballroom. The performance included stand-up sets by comedians Deborah Kimmett and Ava Val starting at 7:30 p.m.

Organizers Wendy McNaughton and Cambria Ravenhill helped coordinate the events to provide residents with opportunities to discuss women’s rights. These gatherings served as a platform to celebrate female achievements and promote workplace equality throughout the community.
