BGC Prince County is selling local vegetable bundles in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, to raise money for community youth and family programs this Easter season. For $10.00, residents can purchase a package containing 11 pounds of produce grown on the island.
Each Easter Veggie Bundle comes with five pounds of potatoes, three pounds of carrots, and three pounds of turnips. The money raised from these sales will help fund the club’s daily activities, health initiatives, and food security efforts like Project Backpack.
Project Backpack is a service that delivers weekly groceries to about 20 families in the area who need help getting enough food. Executive Director Adam Binkley says these fundraisers are important for keeping the club’s various programs running and the community thriving.
The vegetable packages are available through the 2026 holiday period and can be picked up at the club’s location at 106 Cedar Street. This initiative is one of several efforts by the local organization to provide affordable food options while supporting services for children and families.
