Music PEI hosted a high-energy all-ages concert in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, on March 1, 2026. The event took place at the Generation XX Youth Club and was part of a week-long celebration of local music happening across the province.
The concert featured performances by Island bands Dazey, Oakdrive, Broadcast Failure, and Firing Squad. Before the music started, the venue held an open skate session at its indoor skate park for local teenagers and families to enjoy.
This show is a major part of Music PEI Week, which runs from February 28 to March 7, 2026, and includes songwriter showcases and film screenings. The City of Summerside is serving as a main hub for the festival this year, which also includes a large awards ceremony later in the week.
Generation XX was first established in 1997 to give local youth a safe, drug- and alcohol-free place to gather and play music. By hosting the event downtown, organizers aimed to support Island musicians while bringing more customers to local shops and restaurants during the winter season.
