The City of Summerside will host the Rotary Park Rundown fat bike race at Rotary Friendship Park in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, on Saturday, February 21, 2026. This winter event invites local cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts to compete on a groomed 4.5-kilometre loop through the park’s wooded trails.

Presented by Sport Entertainment Tourism Summerside, the race is an official event overseen by Cycling PEI. The course uses specialized single-track trails that are professionally maintained to create a hard-packed snow surface suitable for the wide tires of fat bikes.

Participants can register at the park between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the day of the event. The main race is set to begin at 10:30 AM, though the specific number of laps will be decided by officials on the morning of the race depending on the current snow conditions.

Spectators and riders can access Rotary Friendship Park through the main parking lot at 599 MacEwen Road. Because the entrance is located between the Prince County Hospital and Walker Avenue, those living nearby or visiting the area should expect an increase in traffic and parking usage throughout the morning.
