A joint police operation in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, resulted in the arrest of three people and the seizure of a gun and drugs between March 7 and March 9, 2026. The effort focused on improving safety in the community by removing dangerous items from the area.
The operation was carried out by the Joint Enforcement Team, which includes officers from the PEI RCMP and Summerside Police Services. This group also works with Kensington Police Services and federal police to stop drug and organized crime across the province.
During the weekend work, officers found a firearm and various illegal substances. This specialized team has been operating since 2025 to better coordinate how different police departments share information and resources.
The three individuals arrested during the investigation were processed by police and were in court on March 9, 2026. Local authorities encourage anyone with information about drug or weapons activity to contact their local police department.
