Summerside will ring in Canada Day with live music by the sea as the Canada Day Stage returns to Spinnakers’ Landing on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Explore Summerside has announced a lineup of local performers for the waterfront venue at 150 Heather Moyse Drive, with the full day of free activities kicking off at 2 p.m.
The Spinnakers’ Landing Stage will feature three acts starting at 4 p.m. Award-winning Island musicians Roland Beaulieu and Kelley Mooney open the show from 4 to 4:30 p.m., blending rock, country, blues, and folk. At 5:15 p.m., Mexican-born guitarist Iván Garnica takes the stage with his mix of flamenco, jazz, and world music. The evening wraps up from 6:45 to 7:15 p.m. with fiddler Keelin Wedge, singer Christine Cameron, and musician Rémi Arsenault performing together.
This year’s programming marks another step in the revitalization of Spinnakers’ Landing under new owners Bruce and Karrington Palmer, who bought the site in 2025 after it had been owned by the Summerside Port Corporation since 2013. Palmer has said restoring the stage and bringing live music back downtown is a top priority.
Sponsored by Consolidated Credit Union, the Canada Day celebrations conclude with fireworks at 10:15 p.m., courtesy of Cavendish Farms. The main stage features headliners Alan Doyle and Matt Mays, continuing Summerside’s move to make the waterfront a prime spot for holiday festivities.
