The Swan Valley School Division (SVSD) announced in an official transportation notice on svsd.ca that Bus Route #1 will not run on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Swan River, Manitoba.
Families and caregivers of students who usually take Bus Route #1 will need to arrange alternate drop-off and pickup plans for that day. The division is asking parents to check for any updated pickup locations and times so children arrive at school on time.
To maintain interschool movement, SVSD reassigned shuttle duties: Bus #3 will run the interschool trip from Heyes Elementary to Taylor Elementary, and Bus #7 will run from Taylor Elementary to École Swan River South School.
SVSD also said Route #14 will not be running on Friday. For families with children in daycare, Bus #17 will continue to be available to handle those pickups.
The division’s notice did not specify a reason for the cancellations.
