Residents at the Swan River Valley Personal Care Home in Swan River, Manitoba, will have more opportunities for live music and social trips thanks to a new community 50/50 raffle launched in early February 2026. Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) is running the draw to support the home’s Recreation Department, which helps the seniors living at the facility stay active and engaged.

The money raised will pay for items provincial health funding does not cover, such as holiday parties, interactive sensory projectors (sometimes called “Magic Tables”) and maintenance for the resident transport van used for local outings. PMH says these activities are intended to support resident mental health and help keep residents connected to the Swan Valley community.

The raffle follows other recent local investments in health services, including the addition of a CT scanner to the Swan Valley Health Centre in 2024. According to PMH materials and local briefing notes, tickets are on sale at the Swan River Valley Personal Care Home (reported as 334 8th Ave S in local materials) and may also be available through regional Prairie Mountain Health offices; supporters should confirm exact ticket locations and hours with PMH.

The fundraiser is licensed by the Liquor, Gaming and Cannabis Authority of Manitoba (LGCA). It follows a 50/50 format: half the proceeds go to a single winner and half fund resident programs and activities at the PCH.
