The Landmark Friendship Festival committee in Landmark, Manitoba, has announced that this summer’s community parade will feature a “Christmas in July” theme. Organizers shared the news on January 28, 2026, to give residents and local businesses plenty of time to prepare their holiday-style floats for the upcoming event.

Sign-ups for the parade are set to open on May 12, 2026, according to the festival committee. This year’s winter-wonderland concept is a shift from previous festivals and is intended to encourage more creative and detailed entries from the community.

Drivers and residents should prepare for several road closures on the day of the parade, with barricades going up starting at 9:45 a.m. The route will impact travel on Provincial Road 206 (PR 206 / Hwy 206), Centre Avenue, and Second Street East until the procession is complete.

According to local reporting, the festival serves as a key way for the area to come together and have fun. Sharing the route and schedule early helps residents plan alternate driving paths and allows the committee to manage the expected high attendance.

Last year’s event featured activities such as a vendor village and a softball tournament. The festival committee hopes the new theme will build on that success and create a unique experience for everyone in the Rural Municipality of Taché.
