The St. Clair College Saints women’s volleyball team earned a silver medal at the provincial championship in King City, Ontario, on February 28, 2026. This second-place finish marks a major sporting milestone for the team, which represents students and fans across the Tecumseh area.
The Saints reached the final match against the Humber Hawks but lost a close five-set contest with a final score of 3-2. After taking an early lead by winning the first two sets, the team fell behind as their rivals won the final three sets to take the provincial title.
This achievement followed a historic season where the team finished first in their division with 17 wins and 3 losses. It was the first time the program secured a division title since 1997, and this year marks their second consecutive silver medal at the provincial level.
Several players were recognized for their performance during the event hosted by Seneca Polytechnic. Emma Clements was named the Player of the Game for the final match, while teammates Kiana Huggins and Brianne Hobbin were selected as Championship All-Stars.
Head coach Julie Ann Milling led the team through the successful season, which has helped raise the profile of the college’s athletic programs. The silver medal win is expected to encourage more local fans to attend future games and support the team.
