The Town of Tecumseh, Ontario, is hosting a free Family Day skate on Monday, February 16, 2026, to provide local families with a no-cost holiday activity at the Tecumseh Arena & Recreation Complex.
The skating session will run from 2:45 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the arena located at 12021 McNorton St. This event is a key part of the local Family In Motion Day, which encourages neighbours to stay active together without the need for travel or expensive bookings.
Local representative Andrew Dowie, the Member of Provincial Parliament for the area, has a history of sponsoring this ice time for the community. By removing the usual entry fees, the event is designed to make holiday recreation accessible for all residents.
Families are asked to bring their own skates because rentals will not be available during this specific holiday session. Tecumseh Recreation Services also recommends that all participants wear a helmet for safety while on the ice.
