The Town of Tecumseh has announced that the Tecumseh Farmers Market will extend its hours to 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month from June through October 2026. The change, shared on the market’s official channels, adds an extra hour to the market’s monthly schedule at Lacasse Park.

Market organizers say the extra hour will give residents more time to shop and help more than 40 local vendors sell homegrown produce, baked goods and handmade crafts. The Tecumseh Farmers Market Instagram post noted rising visitor interest as a key reason for the change.

The 2025 season wrapped up on October 19, 2025, and organizers used the announcement to thank volunteers and vendors for their support after the market’s successful relaunch at Lacasse Park in June 2025. Vendors must continue to carry liability insurance naming the Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh as an additional insured.

The monthly market, held at 590 Lacasse Boulevard, now aligns more closely with neighbouring events and gives shoppers a longer weekend window. Organizers say the extra hour aims to increase accessibility for residents, accommodate rising visitor demand and give vendors more time to sell farm-fresh and handmade goods.
