The Town of The Pas will hold a Regular Council Meeting on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Town Office, 81 Edwards Avenue, and the meeting is listed on the town’s calendar and council schedule; it is open to the public and streamed online, and residents should check the agenda beforehand because late-posted materials can include decisions on bylaws, budgets, land use and local services.

Council meets on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month, and the Dec. 22 meeting follows that schedule. Mayor Andre Murphy and six councillors will be on the dais, with Chief Administrative Officer Bola Adedoyin and town staff handling administration and reports (Town of The Pas — Mayor + Council). As of December 16, 2025 the town’s Agendas & Minutes page did not show a published agenda or meeting packet for Dec. 22, so any last-minute items could appear in the days before the meeting. The town records and streams meetings on its YouTube channel, so anyone who cannot attend in person can watch online .

This meeting could include routine governance items or higher-profile decisions — think bylaws, budget amendments, contract approvals, grant acceptances, or planning and land-use matters that may trigger statutory public hearings under Manitoba’s Planning Act and Municipal Act (Planning Act — Manitoba). Councillors often sit on local boards and committees; that can create perceived conflicts of interest if the council considers funding or contracts involving those same groups, so residents should watch for conflict declarations when the agenda is published.

Residents, community groups and local media that want the agenda before the meeting should check the town’s Agendas & Minutes page and Upcoming Events page regularly, and can request documents directly from the CAO or town office if the packet isn’t posted (Town of The Pas — Contact Us). The meeting will be held in Chambers at 81 Edwards Ave. and streamed on the town’s YouTube channel for remote viewing; local outlets such as The Pas Online and CJAR typically cover council business and will flag any major decisions.
