The Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce officially opened nominations for its 20th Annual Business and Community Excellence Awards on February 17, 2026, in Three Rivers, Prince Edward Island. This yearly event gives residents and business owners an opportunity to nominate local services and individuals for public recognition.
The nomination period for the 2026 awards will remain open until April 3, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Residents can submit names for six different categories, which include Business Excellence, Community Impact, and Volunteer of the Year. According to the chamber, other categories include New Business of the Year, Innovation and Advancement, and Up and Coming Entrepreneur.
The Eastern PEI Chamber of Commerce is based at 544 Main Street in Montague and has spent two decades celebrating the work of local entrepreneurs. The awards are designed to highlight the contributions of people who help drive the regional economy and support the community. This year marks a major milestone as the program celebrates 20 years of recognizing local achievement.
In addition to organized events, the chamber also focuses on regional issues such as transportation and infrastructure. In the spring of 2025, the group commissioned a study to look at how the Wood Islands Ferry service impacts the local economy. This research helps the organization advocate for the needs of businesses and residents throughout the eastern part of the province.
