On March 7, 2026, a man was assaulted with a weapon during a roadside altercation on Route 3 in Greenfield, near Montague, Prince Edward Island. The Kings District RCMP is currently looking for two suspects who fled the scene in a red or orange car.
The incident happened at approximately 12:43 PM when a black truck and the sedan both stopped on the side of the road. According to police, the driver of the truck and a passenger from the car began to argue before the driver of the sedan stepped out and attacked the truck driver with a weapon.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released. The two men in the sedan left the area immediately following the attack and have not yet been found.
Investigators are searching for two men approximately 25 and 60 years old. As of March 13, 2026, no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area of Greenfield Road and Route 3 at the time to come forward. Residents with dash-camera footage or other information that could help identify the suspects are encouraged to contact the local police.
