On February 17, 2026, the Thunder Bay Police Service Intelligence Unit arrested three people and seized a large amount of drugs and a loaded handgun during a search on Golf Links Road in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Officers found approximately 3.36 kilograms of suspected cocaine and 285 grams of suspected fentanyl inside the home.

In addition to the drugs, police recovered a loaded handgun and more than $19,000 in cash. The Thunder Bay Police Service stated that the illegal drugs have an estimated street value of more than $488,000.

Three local residents were arrested following the search: 40-year-old Christie Reid, 48-year-old Justin Skinner, and 23-year-old Jaylon Viker. All three face charges for having drugs for the purpose of selling them and for the unauthorized possession of a loaded gun.

Justin Skinner faces five additional charges for having a gun or ammunition while he was legally banned from owning them. This raid is the third major drug investigation by local police this month, following similar searches on Margaret Street and Syndicate Avenue North earlier in February 2026.
