Residents in Thunder Bay, Ontario can now sign up for the 2026 Zulu Challenge, a five-kilometre obstacle race marking the series’ 10th anniversary. The event is billed as a 5 km course with up to 30 obstacles — including mud pits, rope climbs and walls — though the final obstacle count can vary by venue.

Organizers have opened registration through Eventbrite; a “Super Early Bird” price is available through January 1, 2026. (Be aware that final ticket prices are subject to Eventbrite processing fees.)

A signature feature of the Zulu Challenge is that team members are tethered together using custom harnesses or ropes. Teams must remain physically connected as they navigate the course to encourage teamwork and ensure no one is left behind.

Dog owners can participate in a dedicated K9 category. Per the Zulu K9 safety guidelines, dogs must wear a harness and handlers must use a hands-free leash; neck collars are not permitted. Organizers also require that any reactive or protective dogs wear a muzzle.

Participants may go around any obstacle they do not feel comfortable completing to prioritize safety. The specific Thunder Bay venue will be confirmed closer to the event date via the official Zulu Challenge site and the Eventbrite event page.
