Tillsonburg Town Council will meet Monday, January 26, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the temporary council chambers at 4 Elm Street (Long Point Region Conservation Authority office) to follow up on the 2026 Municipal Budget and to review several major local projects.
One of the main agenda items is the 3.64% municipal tax rate increase included in the 2026 Municipal Budget (the budget was adopted January 8, 2026). That increase adds about $89.42 per year on the Town portion of the property tax bill for the average Tillsonburg home (based on an assessed value of $243,000), according to the Town’s public notice.
Council will also review updates on major projects, including the Rolling Meadows residential development (219 units). These projects are being considered as part of the town’s response to recent industrial growth and the resulting infrastructure needs.
The agenda includes construction and infrastructure items such as water-treatment system upgrades and work at the Tillsonburg Community Centre. The town is coordinating with Oxford County on regional services and budget items that affect local service delivery and tax pressures.
Residents may attend the meeting in person or watch a live stream on the Town’s YouTube channel. Note: no registration is required to sit in the gallery, but anyone wishing to speak as a delegation must register with the Clerk’s Office per the Town’s ‘Speak at a Council Meeting’ instructions (see the Town website for details).
