The City of Timmins Public Works Department is clearing large snow piles from Third Avenue and several residential streets today, January 28, 2026. This work in Timmins, Ontario, aims to open up street parking and make sure emergency vehicles have enough room to pass through local neighbourhoods safely.
Work crews are focusing on the downtown business area on Third Avenue between Maple Street and Elm Street. Teams are also clearing snow on Jade Street, George Street, Quartz Avenue, Polaris Boulevard, Kenneth Court, and Collins Court throughout the day.
Drivers need to move their vehicles from these streets before 4:00 p.m. to avoid being towed. According to the City of Timmins, any cars blocking the path of the blowers and trucks will be removed immediately.
Residents should also avoid shoveling snow from their private driveways onto the public road, as this can cause safety hazards and slow down the cleanup. For more information on daily updates, residents can check the City of Timmins Snow Removal portal.
