The Weyburn Soccer Association (WSA) officially opened registration for its 2026 spring season on February 4, 2026, in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. This year’s program includes a skill-development mentorship camp, “Kicking with the Cougars,” organized in collaboration with the University of Regina Cougars to bring collegiate-level athletes to the community to mentor local youth players.
The upcoming outdoor season will be held at Jubilee Park (Mainil Field), with indoor sessions taking place at the Credit Union Spark Centre. Spring programs focus on community and competitive streams from approximately U5 through U19; the association notes that the “Little Kicks” (U3) program is typically offered in the summer rather than as part of the spring registration.
The WSA says the partnership with university athletes aims to give local kids a chance to learn from higher-level players. The association is also actively looking for community members to sign up as coaches and says it will provide support and resources for those interested in helping.
Registration will remain open through March, and residents can sign up through the association’s online registration platforms (TeamLinkt/RAMP). While the precise season start date depends on local field conditions and the spring thaw, organizers expect outdoor activities to begin in late April or early May.
