The Whitby Farmers’ Market has confirmed the Brooklin Harvest Festival will return on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Whitby, Ontario. The signature autumn event typically draws more than 15,000 visitors to the historic downtown core for a day of local shopping and food.

Organizers are sharing the date nearly two years in advance to help local farmers and small businesses plan their crops and supplies. The Town of Whitby works with the market to turn the streets into a pedestrian festival area filled with 40+ farmers’ market vendor stands alongside many additional community and retail vendors. Residents can expect to find fresh produce, handmade crafts, and food from local bakers and artisans.

The festival will take place at Grass Park and along Baldwin Street North, which is closed to vehicular traffic for the day. Baldwin Street is typically closed from Cassels Road to Way Street; through-traffic is generally detoured at Winchester Road or Columbus Road. Neighbors are encouraged to walk or bike to the event, as parking near the park is limited.

Families can enjoy several activities during the celebration, including a kids’ play area and live music on the main stage. In previous years, the festival has featured horse-drawn wagon rides and a rock-climbing wall for visitors. Local restaurants also set up outdoor patios and temporary food stands to serve the large crowds.

The harvest celebration has been a local tradition for more than 25 years (the festival celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024) and is listed among Festivals & Events Ontario’s Top 100 events. By setting the 2026 date early, the market board aims to help vendors plan ahead and keep the Harvest Festival growing as one of the busiest days of the year for the Brooklin community.
