The York Regional Police are asking residents in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario, to share their thoughts on local safety and police services through an anonymous online survey that will help decide how police resources are spent over the next three years.

People living and working in the community can use the survey to rank their concerns, such as break-and-enter/property crime or road safety. The York Regional Police Service Board will use these answers to help shape the 2026–2028 strategic plan and inform how the region is patrolled. The survey is open until February 15, 2026, and is available in multiple languages.

This request for input comes as local leaders debate Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE). Stouffville Bullet Point News reported a motion by Mayor Iain Lovatt to wind down the town’s ASE program by Dec. 31, 2025. The survey will help officials gauge whether residents would prefer more traditional, on-street enforcement (more officers in the community) or other traffic-safety tools instead of automated cameras.

As the town continues to grow, the results will help determine community priorities for the Whitchurch-Stouffville Community Substation at 111 Sandiford Drive. By participating, residents can help ensure that policing priorities reflect the specific needs of their growing neighbourhoods.
