The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville has set the dates for the 2026 Stouffville Ribfest for Aug. 7–9 and confirmed the 2025 dates as Aug. 8–10 on its official event pages. The annual festival at Memorial Park (2 Park Drive) features rib teams, food and marketplace vendors, and live performers.
Cassandra Papas, the Town’s corporate communications coordinator and spokesperson, said the early announcement gives high-demand vendors and touring performers the lead time they need to book the weekend and allows corporate sponsors to plan months in advance. “Attendance has been steadily climbing year over year, which speaks to the event’s growing popularity and the strong community support behind it,” Papas said. The Festivals & Events Ontario Top 100 designation raises the festival’s provincial visibility and marketing profile, which can support sponsorship and funding opportunities.
The town’s 2025 summer events page confirms Ribfest will run Aug. 8–10 next year. Town officials say locking in dates well in advance helps municipal staff streamline event planning, including permit processing, sponsorship packages and logistics such as stage setup, power and waste management at Memorial Park. Rob Braid, the Town’s Commissioner of Community Services, has highlighted the event’s growing profile and the value of provincial recognition for its community events.
Ribfest has grown rapidly since the pandemic. In 2023 attendance exceeded 52,000 for the weekend and the Town reported roughly 50,000 visitors in 2024, making it one of the larger summer gatherings in York Region. The festival’s inclusion among FEO’s Top 100 places Stouffville alongside other notable Ontario events. Early date confirmation also helps minimize scheduling clashes with other regional summer events, improving the town’s chances of securing popular rib teams and performers.
With dates set through 2026, residents, local businesses and community groups can finalize summer plans and vendors can prepare applications. Vendor application forms, permit information and sponsorship details are available on the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville website; vendors and community groups should monitor the site for application opening dates and timeline updates. Residents can find updates on volunteer opportunities, traffic notices and the full festival schedule on the town’s event portal.
