Professional wrestling is returning to Whitecourt, Alberta, as part of a national tour celebrating the 17th anniversary of Winnipeg-based promotion Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE). Canadian Wrestling’s Elite will visit the community on February 23, 2026, as part of its 17th Anniversary Tour.

The headline attraction for the event is international star Brian Kendrick, a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion and WWE Tag Team Champion, known for his appearances on global television. This visit is part of Kendrick’s first major cross-country Canadian tour outside the WWE system.

The tour is organized by Canadian Wrestling’s Elite, a company that started in Winnipeg in 2009. Promoter Danny Warren (who performs as “Hotshot” Danny Duggan) says the group focuses on bringing high-energy live shows to towns whose residents often travel to larger cities for professional entertainment.

The show is designed for fans of all ages and typically includes a VIP meet-and-greet followed by a roughly two-and-a-half-hour live wrestling card. Most events also offer fans a chance for photos and autographs with wrestlers before the bell.
