The Whitecourt & District Chamber of Commerce is selling tickets for its annual President’s Gala and Business Awards, to be held on January 25, 2026, in Whitecourt, Alberta. The event will take place at St. Joseph Parish Hall and serves as the primary celebration for local companies and non-profit groups. This gathering allows residents and business owners to connect while recognizing the hard work of people in the community.
This year’s ceremony follows a record-breaking year for the Chamber, which grew to 238 members by the end of 2024. Community members submitted 331 nominations across 13 categories to recognize excellence in the local economy. Outgoing president Louise Meier told the Whitecourt Star that those figures reflect the chamber’s strong engagement with the community.
The evening will include a formal dinner and the introduction of the new 2025 board of directors led by president Terriann Masse. Masse told the Whitecourt Star she is optimistic about growth in 2025 despite broader industry challenges, including potential tariff impacts, and said the chamber will work with members, the Town of Whitecourt and Woodlands County to support local businesses.
Residents who want to attend must purchase their tickets before the deadline on January 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM (confirm on the Chamber’s event listing). Past coverage of the gala (for example, XM 105 FM’s post-event coverage) has highlighted how the awards showcase the work of local groups, including non-profits such as the Wellspring Family Resource and Crisis Centre. Organizers expect a full house as the community finds out which businesses will take home top honours.
