The Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous Society released the full program for the 2026 Yukon Rendezvous Festival on February 5, giving Whitehorse, Yukon, residents a guide for the 17-day winter celebration. The festival runs from February 6 to February 22, 2026, and features community events, concerts and heritage sports such as chainsaw chucking and flour packing. The annual event aims to lift spirits during the coldest months while celebrating the history of the North.

Most activities will take place downtown at Shipyards Park, the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre, and the Yukon Arts Centre. The busiest time is expected to be the “Big Weekend” (Feb. 20–22), and the Rendezvous Parade is scheduled for the following Sunday, February 23, 2026, according to the City of Whitehorse. Organizers encourage residents to check the program early to buy tickets for popular events like the Masquerade Ball — organizers reported Masquerade Ball ticket sales for the Feb. 21 event were about 85% sold as of Feb. 7, 2026.

Local shops and restaurants are preparing for more customers, as organizers project the festival could bring roughly a 35% increase in foot traffic to the downtown core during peak days. This boost helps the local economy while bringing the community together for outdoor fun and live music. Organizers say the 2026 main-stage lineup is among the most ambitious in the festival’s history.

According to What’s Up Yukon, the festival was formally registered in 1964 to help people stay active during the winter. It has grown from a small local gathering into a major celebration that highlights traditional skills and northern tenacity. Physical copies of the event program are available at local sponsors and businesses for those who want to plan their visits in person.
