Winkler Arts + Culture is hosting a full-day stained glass workshop on March 21, 2026, at its facility in Winkler, Manitoba. The session offers a hands-on creative opportunity for residents to learn the basics of a unique craft as the spring season begins.
Instructors Len and Ann Hordijk from Pinawa Bay Stained Glass will lead the class. During the morning, participants will practice techniques like cutting, foiling, and soldering, and in the afternoon, they will use those skills to create their own designs.
The workshop is open to older teenagers and adults, and no previous experience is required to join. All tools and materials are provided by the organizers, and everyone will leave the session with two handmade window hangings.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Winkler Arts and Culture Centre located at 547 Park Street. Interested residents can book their spots through the organization’s website or by visiting the centre in person.
