Winkler Arts + Culture Centre (WAC) is hosting an opening reception on Thursday, February 19, 2026, for its latest exhibit in Winkler, Manitoba. The exhibit, titled “The Nature of Stillness,” explores themes of tranquility and natural landscapes and offers residents a meditative place to visit during the winter months.

The reception is scheduled for the evening; WAC’s typical opening reception hours are 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The gallery is at 547 Park Street in Winkler—a historic renovated municipal water tower and pump house. According to Travel Manitoba, the venue is a noted local gathering place that has been updated to house community art spaces.

Executive Director Alesha Hildebrand said the gallery wants to create a space where people of all skill levels can feel welcome and find their place in the arts. The show follows the recent “Gather” ceramics exhibit, which PembinaValleyOnline reported ran Jan. 15–Feb. 10, 2026, as part of a busy winter season for the gallery.

The facility has undergone accessibility audits and upgrades and includes accessible washrooms, entries, walkways and parking. CBC News covered the centre’s accessibility efforts and its involvement with a province-wide accessibility audit led by Arts AccessAbility Network Manitoba.
