All branches of the South Central Regional Library, including the Winkler Public Library, will be closed for the entire day on April 3, 2026. This system-wide closure in Winkler, Manitoba, is due to the Good Friday holiday.
In-person services at the 160 Main Street location in Winkler, such as book browsing, computer access, and picking up items, will be unavailable for the day. The closure means regular Friday events like story times and youth clubs are cancelled, and residents waiting for specific book holds may see short delays.
While the physical buildings are closed, digital services will remain available to library members at all times. Patrons can still use Libby and Hoopla to borrow eBooks, audiobooks, and streaming movies through their own devices.
Library materials are generally not due on holidays, though physical book drops are usually available for residents to return books. For more information, patrons can contact branch administrator Jess Martens at (204) 325-7174 or by email at winklerlib@gmail.com.
