Oxford County Council will meet on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Woodstock, Ontario, to review and advance several local projects, including changes to curbside waste collection and local housing plans. The meeting follows the recent approval of the 2026 Business Plan and Budget and will focus on how new services will be delivered to residents this year.

The Oxford County Council will discuss the rollout and implementation of the new Green Bin organics program for food and organic waste and a shift in how blue-box recycling is handled. The organics program launched in January 2026 for Woodstock and South‑West Oxford, and the recycling changes are tied to the province’s move to a producer‑responsibility model for packaging and printed paper.

According to Oxford County’s 2026 Business Plan and Budget, the plan includes funding for additional staff in several service areas, including funding for five additional paramedic positions to help meet growing demand for emergency services in urban centres such as Woodstock.

Council will also review progress on a Springbank Avenue North housing project. County materials describe the development as a multi‑unit project intended to add affordable units in Woodstock; county documents describe the Springbank Avenue North project as a priority and include figures for affordable units in planning materials.

Residents can watch the meeting at 9:30 a.m. through the Oxford County livestream at oxfordcounty.ca/livestream or attend in person at the Oxford County Administration Building, 21 Reeve Street, Woodstock. Community members can provide feedback on local priorities through the Speak Up, Oxford! engagement site.
