Yorkton Terriers goaltender Callum Creig has been named one of three finalists for the 2025-26 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League RBC Community Ambassador Award. This recognition highlights the Calgary native’s volunteer efforts within the Yorkton community during his second season with the team.
Creig has been recognized for his extensive work mentoring young athletes through Yorkton Minor Hockey, as well as his participation in various school programs and charitable events. His community service also includes supporting the Terry Fox Run and assisting youth and individuals with special needs. As a result of his nomination, Creig will direct a $1,000 donation from RBC to Dr. Brass Elementary School in Yorkton.
The other finalists for this year’s award are Ryder McKinnon of the La Ronge Ice Wolves, who is supporting Pre-Cam Community School, and Connor Miller, who played for the Humboldt Broncos and Flin Flon Bombers and is supporting St. Augustine School in Humboldt. The winner of the award will receive an additional $2,500 donation for a school of their choice, to be announced during the 2026 Canterra Seeds Cup Final.
In addition to his community work, Creig is a finalist for the league’s Goaltender of the Year award for the 2025-26 season. Fans can cast their votes for the Community Ambassador Award online through the league’s website.
