Mayor Rob Small and the Amherst Town Council officially welcomed a new family-run business called Crossroads to the Amherst Centre Mall in Amherst, Nova Scotia, on March 4, 2026. The owners were presented with a certificate to celebrate their expansion into the community. The shop has been serving local customers since it first opened its doors in early November 2025.
The new business takes up three separate storefronts within the mall, with each space offering different items for shoppers. One section focuses on outdoor and racing-style clothing and accessories. Another area features a collection of vintage cars and motorcycles that are available for purchase.
The third space is dedicated to lifestyle items and memorabilia for fans of classic vehicles. This expansion brings the business from its original location in Pugwash to a larger space in the local mall. According to the Town of Amherst, the response from local residents has been very positive so far.
