The City of Burlington, Ontario, held its final virtual meeting on March 4, 2026, to gather feedback on a new 10-year Culture Plan. This session allowed residents to share their thoughts on how the community should support local artists and cultural events through 2036.
The City of Burlington has been working on this roadmap to identify gaps in existing programs and set new priorities for the next decade. More than 1,600 people have already taken part in the feedback process to help decide where the municipality should focus its funding and resources.
To help guide the project, the city hired a consulting firm called the Bespoke Cultural Collective to manage community outreach and review resident suggestions. The goal is to create a strategy that reflects the needs of local artists, organizations, and the general public.
The information collected from the recent online session will be used to finalize the roadmap, which aims to create a more vibrant culture for everyone in the city. Once completed, the document will serve as a guide for all city-led cultural initiatives and investments for the next 10 years.
