The City of Owen Sound, Ontario, closed a portion of the walking trail near 6th Avenue West on March 11 and March 12, 2026, to allow crews to complete tree maintenance. The work was located near the bottom of the Alpha Street hill and required pedestrians to find other routes.
The City of Owen Sound asked residents to stay behind all barricades and follow posted signs. These steps were taken to keep both the public and the workers safe while the trees were being trimmed and maintained.
