A former member of the Neepawa Titans recently represented Adrian College on the ice in the United States as they pursued a national title. Carter McLeod, who played for the local junior hockey club in Neepawa, Manitoba, was part of the Adrian College roster at the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) National Championships in St. Louis.
The ACHA National Championships were held at the Centene Community Ice Center. While the overall event began on March 12, 2026, and runs through March 22, 2026, the Men’s Division 1 portion of the tournament concluded on March 17.
McLeod joined the Adrian College hockey program in Michigan following his time playing in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League in June 2025. The college is known for having a competitive hockey program that often plays for national titles. McLeod, a native of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, spent time developing his game in Neepawa before moving to the collegiate ranks.
This national tournament serves as a way for junior hockey players to continue playing at a high level while they earn a university degree. For players from the Neepawa Titans, these programs provide a chance to balance sports and education after they finish their time in the local league.
