The Waterloo Regional Police Service has laid more than 30 charges against a 43-year-old man following a series of break-ins at local businesses in Waterloo, Ontario. Between February 22, 2026, and March 15, 2026, five separate businesses were targeted in the area of King Street North and University Avenue.
Officers from the North Division crime suppression unit arrested the man on March 19, 2026, after carrying out a search warrant. During the search, police recovered stolen property and various identity documents belonging to others.
Police also seized several weapons during the arrest, including a conducted energy weapon, an airsoft gun, and ammunition. The investigation was led by specialized officers who focus on responding to patterns of property crime in the city.
The suspect faces a long list of criminal charges, including multiple counts of theft, mischief, and weapons offences. He is currently being held in custody while waiting for a bail hearing.
