The Guelph Police Service is investigating after three vehicles were stolen across Guelph, Ontario, within a single 24-hour period between March 18 and March 19, 2026. The thefts included two vehicles taken from local dealerships and one luxury car stolen from a home driveway.
Suspects first arrived at a dealership on Woodlawn Road West in a black Cadillac Escalade and took an unplated red 2006 GMC Sierra pickup. They then drove both vehicles to another dealership nearby, where the Escalade was used to ram open a metal gate so the group could steal a black 2013 Chevrolet Suburban.
On Thursday morning, a resident living near Clair Road East and Victoria Road South also reported that their black 2025 Lincoln Navigator had been stolen from their driveway overnight. The Break Enter Auto Theft Unit stated that it is not uncommon for several vehicles to be stolen in a single day within the city.
Police are asking anyone with dashcam or doorbell camera footage from the affected areas to contact investigators at 519-824-1212. To help prevent similar crimes, Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington offers special pouches designed to block electronic signals from keys. Recent data from the Équité Association shows that while auto theft is generally declining in Ontario, it remains a major concern for the community.
