Venture X Burlington, a family-owned coworking space that opened in August 2025, serves as a growing hub for small business owners and entrepreneurs in Burlington, Ontario. Located on International Boulevard, the workspace provides shared desks, private offices, and views of Lake Ontario, offering networking opportunities for professionals from across the Halton Region.
Mayor Marianne Meed Ward recently highlighted the city’s focus on attracting entrepreneurs and investment during her 2026 State of the City address. Major local projects currently underway include a 47-hectare arena and entertainment hub along with a new expansion for Mohawk College. These investments are part of a plan to make it easier for people to do business within the community.
Support for these growing companies is coordinated through TechPlace, an innovation hub run by Burlington Economic Development and Tourism. The hub officially celebrated its relocation to the Robert Bateman Community Centre with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in February 2026, providing mentorship and connections to industry experts. The hub also works with the Innovation Factory, a business accelerator that has helped more than 3,000 technology startups find funding and generate revenue since 2010.

These services include programs for student businesses and recovery support for established owners. These local resources aim to support a high quality of life for residents in a city that is frequently recognized as one of the top communities in Canada.
