The City of Camrose, Alberta, is currently accepting applications from local non-profit groups for its arts and culture grant program until April 1, 2026. The program provides financial support to organizations that want to start or continue creative projects that benefit the local community. There are eight days remaining for interested groups to submit their paperwork for this funding cycle.
The Camrose Arts Council Board has an annual budget of $30,000 to distribute across two granting cycles. Individual projects can receive up to $5,000, which can cover as much as 80 percent of the total costs for a project or event. To be eligible, organizations must be registered not-for-profits that have been in operation for at least one year.
This grant program was established following a community master plan created in 2016 to help grow local creative activities. Since the council held its first meeting in February 2017, it has worked to support the local arts scene, which includes groups like the Camrose Arts Society. In a previous spring cycle, six local projects shared a total of $16,500 in funding to help cover their costs.
Applications are accepted twice every year, in both the spring and the fall, to provide ongoing support for local initiatives. Groups interested in applying can find specific rules and eligibility details on the city’s grant information page. All funded projects must primarily benefit residents living within the city.
