Families in Tillsonburg, Ontario are invited to participate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Tillsonburg at the Kinsmen Bandshell in Memorial Park, the free community event offers a morning of seasonal fun for local children.
The event has been a local tradition for over three decades. Organizers distribute more than 30,000 chocolate eggs, weighing approximately 400 pounds, across the park’s grassy areas. To ensure a fair experience, the hunt is divided into age-specific groups for children aged 0 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 to 9, and 10 to 12.
About 800 children and their families typically take part in the festivities each year. There is no registration required to attend, but families are encouraged to bring their own baskets to collect treats. About 40 volunteers, including members of the local Kinsmen and Kinette clubs as well as their families, manage the event.
The Tillsonburg Kinette Club will be on-site selling food, and the event will feature a food drive supporting the Helping Hand Food Bank. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate. The local Kinsmen club, which is recognized as one of the largest and youngest clubs in Kin Canada, has a long history of supporting community infrastructure in Tillsonburg, including the development of the Kinsmen Bandshell which opened in 2018.
