Leopold’s Tavern has announced it will open a new location in Fort Saskatchewan, bringing its neighbourhood-style pub concept to the community with a targeted launch for late summer 2026. The new establishment will be located at 114-9398 Southfort Drive.
The company, which operates over 20 locations across Western Canada, was founded in Regina in 2013 by Matt Pinch and a group of friends who wanted to create a local gathering place. The tavern is known for its focus on good food and good beer, along with a community-driven atmosphere where walls are decorated with items contributed by customers.
The expansion follows a period of significant growth for Fort Saskatchewan. According to provincial data, the city reached a population of 30,575 in 2025, supported by a five-year growth rate of 9.25 percent.
Residents interested in the new location can sign up for the Locals Only rewards program through the Leopold’s Tavern website. Members of this program receive exclusive access to special events, including the possibility of attending the pub’s soft open party.
