The city of Pitt Meadows is gearing up for its 85th annual Pitt Meadows Day. The long-standing community tradition will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Pitt Meadows Athletic Park, located at 11431 Bonson Road.
This year’s festivities feature a special Blue and Gold theme to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the event, which first began in 1938. Mayor Nicole MacDonald noted that the city is working to ensure the day remains an accessible and engaging experience for the community. The event typically draws between 10,000 and 15,000 attendees, offering a wide range of free activities including a parade, a pancake breakfast, a Kids Zone, an artisan market, live entertainment, and food trucks.
The day is set to conclude with a drone show finale. While a similar drone feature was cancelled in 2025 due to unexpected travel delays, organizers are preparing for its return to the local skyline this June. The city is currently seeking support to help run the large-scale celebration.
The City of Pitt Meadows is accepting applications for volunteers, parade entries, sponsors, artisans, and youth ambassadors. Those interested in participating in the event must submit their applications by the May 25, 2026 deadline.
