The Fort Saskatchewan & Lamont County Regional Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free Career & Hiring Expo on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the Dow Centennial Centre, providing residents with a chance to connect with dozens of local employers and support organizations.
The event runs from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Sherritt-CEP Arena and will feature between 50 and 60 exhibitors, including educators, government agencies, and non-profit groups. This gathering is part of a broader effort by the Fort Saskatchewan & Lamont County Regional Chamber of Commerce to prioritize workforce development this year. The organization has paused its annual trade show for 2026 to focus resources on expanding this career-focused event.
Attendees can also access the Dress for Success program, hosted by the Chamber’s Women in Business Committee. This initiative provides free professional clothing to job seekers, helping them prepare for interviews and new workplace opportunities. The expo is presented by Spectre Systems, with additional support from Heartland Coatings Ltd. and the Royal Canadian Navy.
Following the career expo, the venue will host the return of the Chamber Spring Farmers’ Market. The market is scheduled to open for its 2026 season on Saturday, April 18, running from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the same location.
