The City of Dauphin, Manitoba, is gearing up for its 2nd Annual Community-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Following a successful start last year that saw 142 properties participate, residents are once again being encouraged to declutter their homes and connect with their neighbours.
The event is designed to run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. across the city. By hosting sales on the same day, the city aims to create a unified shopping experience that promotes environmental sustainability by giving new life to gently used items instead of sending them to the landfill.
To help residents and visitors plan their day, the city will create and publish a public map featuring all participating locations. This map will be used to guide shoppers to each yard sale throughout the community.
Anyone wishing to host a sale can register for free until May 8, 2026. Registration can be completed through an online form, by emailing [email protected], or by calling 204-622-3218.
This initiative aligns with the city’s ongoing efforts to encourage recycling and waste reduction. These efforts include an active program for residential recycling operated in partnership with Ottenbreit Sanitation Services, as well as a municipal Diversion Centre.
