A new healthcare option is now available in downtown Hanover, Ontario, following the official opening of the Vanguard Pharmacy & Clinic on April 19, 2026. Located at 223 10th St., the business provides a range of medical and pharmacy services intended to support the town’s growing population of over 8,000 residents.
The facility is led by a physician and offers services including prescription dispensing, free home delivery, minor ailment prescribing, vaccinations, and medication reviews. In addition to pharmacy services, the clinic provides walk-in appointments, chronic disease management, and preventive health screenings. A family physician is available on-site and is currently accepting new patients.
Mayor Sue Paterson officially welcomed the new business to the community during a grand opening event held on April 19. The clinic joins existing local pharmacies in the area, such as Pharmasave Hanover and Shoppers Drug Mart.
The Vanguard Pharmacy & Clinic is operated by Vanguard Pharmacy Ltd, an Ontario-based company incorporated in March 2023. The new Hanover location is the second clinic for the organization, which also operates a flagship site in Georgetown, Ontario.
