Hanover has released its full Culture Days lineup, with 12 free events running from September 18 to October 4 across the community.
The Town of Hanover says this year’s programming celebrates the region’s vibrant culture and gives residents and visitors a chance to explore local arts, heritage, and creative spaces.
Highlights include the Harvest Market on September 19, a house histories workshop on September 22, community art outreach on September 23 and 30, and an Eat Well Market on September 26.
Two studio tours will run October 2 to 4: the Fall Studio Art Tour organized by the Saugeen Artists Guild and the Autumn Leaves Studio Tour. Both offer self-guided visits to area artist studios.
Culture Days also features a public skating schedule, a community scavenger hunt, a downtown public art and street banner tour, and a virtual municipal facilities tour. Most events are free, though the Saugeen Culture Bus Tour on October 3 costs $43.93 and visits locations in Wellington North, Minto, and Hanover.
Culture Days is a national celebration of arts and culture held each September, with millions of Canadians taking part in free events across the country. Hanover has participated for several years and now promotes its offerings under the HIPP Culture banner, short for Hanover’s Innovative People Program.
In September 2024, the town partnered with the Driftscape app to provide interactive maps, curated tours, and event updates, making it easier for residents and visitors to explore local cultural assets.
