Residents in Beausejour, Manitoba, will have the opportunity to support local youth education when the annual Smile Cookie campaign returns to the community from April 27 to May 3, 2026.
During this week-long event, the Tim Hortons location at 1050 Park Avenue will donate 100 per cent of proceeds from Smile Cookie sales to the Brokenhead River Community Foundation. The funds raised will go directly toward providing scholarships and bursaries for local students residing in the area.
The campaign marks its 30th anniversary this year. Since it first launched in 1996, the national initiative has raised more than $151 million for various charities and community groups across Canada.
The Brokenhead River Community Foundation, which has been serving the Beausejour-Brokenhead region since its incorporation in 1998, currently offers two scholarships and five bursaries for graduating students. These awards are intended to assist students with their post-secondary education costs.
Last year, the national campaign reached a record-breaking $22.6 million in total donations. Local residents are encouraged to visit the Park Avenue restaurant during the campaign to contribute to the foundation’s ongoing efforts to support education in the community.
