The Fundy Youth Soccer Club, a non-profit organization serving families in Amherst and across Cumberland County, has officially opened registration for its 2026 competitive soccer season. Players in the U11, U13, U15, and U18 age groups are encouraged to sign up to join teams competing in the Eastern Soccer League.
By participating in the Eastern Soccer League, local teams face opponents from various New Brunswick communities, including Riverview, Moncton, Dieppe, and Sackville. The club opted for this league to reduce travel time for local families compared to participating in the provincial Highland Region.
For the upcoming season, registration fees are $250 for U11 players and $270 for those in the U13 through U18 divisions. All players will receive a new jersey to keep at the end of the year, though a non-refundable $40 tryout fee applies to all competitive applicants. Registration fees also include $50 in tickets that can be sold to offset costs. Game nights are set for Tuesdays or Thursdays for the U11 division, while U13 teams will play on Mondays or Wednesdays.
In addition to league play, the club is preparing to host its first home tournament, the 2026 Fundy Classic, from July 3 to July 5. The event will feature U11 and U13 boys and girls divisions, with registration costs set at $200 for U11 teams and $400 for U13 teams. Families or teams seeking more information regarding registration or the upcoming tournament can contact the club at 902-691-2940 or via email at [email protected], or visit the Soccer Nova Scotia website for further details.
