The Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team has successfully recovered stolen property and apprehended several repeat offenders following recent investigations in Red Deer, Alberta.
On April 27, 2026, the team announced the arrest of 32-year-old Anthony Deck and 40-year-old Christopher McMurray. These arrests relate to an investigation involving a stolen e-bike taken from the Bower area on April 7. Police discovered that a white pickup truck, which had been reported stolen from Airdrie, was used to transport the bike. Deck was taken into custody in Oriole Park after attempting to flee on foot, while McMurray was apprehended on April 15 with assistance from several specialized units, including Police Dog Services and Air Services.
In a separate enforcement action, the Red Deer and Blackfalds RCMP executed multiple warrants following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the Gasoline Alley area on April 10. During this operation, officers recovered a dirt bike that had been stolen in August 2025. Two of the individuals arrested include 45-year-old Adam Webb, who faces charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and 40-year-old Jason Burk, who was remanded into custody.
These operations are part of a broader, intelligence-led strategy utilized by the Alberta RCMP to target repeat offenders and reduce property crime across the province. According to provincial police, these efforts have contributed to a 10-year low for property crime within their jurisdiction.
