The County of Wetaskiwin is inviting all residents to attend an open house and barbecue on Thursday, May 7, 2026. The event will take place from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the County Office, located at 243019A Highway 13.
This annual gathering provides an opportunity for both new and longtime residents to meet with local government officials, ask questions, and learn more about the services provided to the community. Attendees can enjoy a meal while hearing about the county’s current projects and priorities.
The event coincides with the launch of a new curbside garbage collection partnership with Integrity Waste Solutions, offering a chance for residents to gather more information about this updated service. This year, the county is operating with a budget that includes $28 million for essential services and $14 million dedicated to infrastructure, such as bridge maintenance, road improvements, and pavement work.
